Renew Capital has selected four Ghanaian startups as part of a 15-company cohort advancing through its Renew Venture Lab: EmFi Series, a program focused on embedded finance solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Ghanaian companies—AgroCenta, Boost Technology, Kutana Pay, and Oze—were chosen from more than 500 applicants across 48 African countries. The selection places Ghana among the most represented countries in the final cohort.

The program targets startups that already serve SMEs and are integrating financial products into their platforms. This approach builds on existing customer relationships and operational data rather than relying on standalone fintech models.

Across the four Ghanaian startups:

  • AgroCenta operates in agricultural value chains, connecting smallholder farmers to markets.
  • Boost Technology focuses on digital tools for business operations and payments.
  • Kutana Pay provides payment infrastructure and financial services.
  • Oze offers business management tools for SMEs, including financial tracking and analytics.

All selected companies participated in training sessions and a pitch competition, where 47 startups received support packages valued at over $250,000. The final 15, including the Ghanaian firms, will proceed to deeper technical support and potential investment.
